NEWH FUNDRAISER GALA SUCCESS

The 1st Annual Atlantic City/Philadelphia NEWH Fundraiser Gala held in Fall of 2022 was the local hospitality organization's largest fundraising event since the establishment of the local group. The formal themed event was attended by close to 300 industry professionals and guests at Vue on 50 and netted a profit of close to $50,000. Pictured are NEWH Programming Director Ariana Butera of Tantillo Architecture, NEWH Steering Chair and APOP Owner Erica Harmelin, and NEWH Programming Chair / Gala Chair Amy McGee of Bentley Mills who spearheaded the organization of the event. Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is currently working towards earning his Master's Degree in Interior Architecture from Drexel University. Wyndham Dual Brand Reveal

In 2019, APOP Design created a new prototype for the extended stay Hawthorn Suites which later went on to combine with the La Quinta brand and form a dual-brand Hotel. The first opening of this dual-brand has been in Pflugerville, Texas which allows guests the option of both extended stay and leisure business accommodations in one setting. APOP is proud to call this national historic district and classic town their new home. Situated along the Schuylkill River, Manayunk is lined with vibrant Victorian storefronts, retail venues and mill buildings providing both an urban experience and small town charm at the same time. Owner and Creative Director Erica Harmelin of APOP Design attended the renowned HOST Milano International Hospitality Exhibition in Milan, Italy from 10/22 - 10/26 representing the Philadelphia/Atlantic City NEWH Region which she is currently the Steering Chair of. It was a great opportunity to connect with other NEWH leaders at the show and outside events throughout Milan and Lake Como, Italy.
